SANDERLINGS (II)

ENGLISH
Walking through the beach I found this couple of sanderlings feeding on the edge of the vawes.
They were so close to take a photo...
I haven’t got the camera with me, so I decided to go home to take it, to go back and try my luck.
And this is the result.

Here we can see them with their summer plumage. In this season their feathers colour is a little bit deeper.
This year the autumn came earlier and so they did.

They come down from the northern tundra to stay in the south of Europe in autumn and Winter, because here the weather is warmer.

Within the group of silty birds, sanderlings belong to the order of charadriiformes, family of scolopacidae, species of calidris alba.
